I've recently started knitting again and have completed a few projects that were more adventurous than the straight knit, purl, knit, purl that I used to stick to. The scarf pictured below is what I'm currently working on. Sadly, I can't claim this brilliant idea as my own. This clever binary themed scarf was featured in the online knitting magazine Knitty last winter. This pattern and many others can be found here.

I'm using size 9 double pointed Takumi Velvet bamboo needles and Red Heart acrylic yarn. I highly recommend the bamboo needles over plastic or aluminum. They are so much easier to work with, no matter what type of yarn you're using. I'm hoping to complete this so I can use it this winter, but at the rate my projects usually go....
